Last I heard, it was an unconfirmed rumor.

From that link it would be cool if they made a sequel to Chrono Trigger

Chrono Cross.

Consensus is that it's a good game in its own right but fails as a sequel to Chrono Trigger. It's on my list of games I need to play, but I haven't gotten around to playing it yet.

I have that too but also didn't get round to play it yet. Unfortunately it's not as good as Chrono Trigger that's for sure.

I have played Chrono Cross and I can say that I enjoyed it. Though my memory is definitely slurred today. It featured a different battle system which imho was better than Trigger minus the lack of combos. Good storyline as well.

It offered an endless supply of characters that were obtainable through different events as you play. What does that mean to you? It means for each replay, you could end up with an entirely different assault of characters. Minus the two necessary main chars.

If you played Chrono Trigger on the SNES, the change to the playstation would serve as a disappointment due to the adjustment of major lag when entering new areas as was common with most psx games.

I don't remember Chrono Cross being released over in the UK. I remember getting a copy of it but never play it as I had a lot of games on the go back then.

Interesting reminds me of Star Ocean 2 with multiple characters on your team with a lot combination endings.

Oh well I still enjoyed it. I love it on the DS as well with a new boss to battle.
