What do you like to game?

As the title suggests, what kinda games are you in to?

I like the following genres:

* RPG (i.e.Final Fantasy)
* Survival Horror (i.e. Resident Evil)
* Shoot em ups (i.e. Time Crisis)
* Fighting (i.e. Streetfighter)
* Platform (i.e. Mario)
* RTS (i.e.Command and Conquer)
* and mini game types like Wii play

Also how do you rank them too?

Mine are in the order above from top to bottom.

I'm a fan of RPGs (preferably Strategy RPGs), followed by Fighting games.

Shooters and RTS are the only genres that I particularly dislike, but I'll dabble in them every now on then.

Light gun games never really held my attention. I play FPS games sometimes, but I haven't really touched anything during this console generation.

The main reason I don't play Survival Horror games is because I don't like being scared during gameplay.

I'm looking forward to someday playing Super Street Fighter 4. Dudley is hinted at being in. I would get that game and beat up Balrog all day if I had the chance.

I really love a good turn based strategy game too.

Are you really young or something?

The Resident Evil series isn't really scary just a few moments it can make you jump. It's is more puzzles and action rather than just the Horror like in a film.

The Dead Space is creepy, but the Resident Evil 5 wasn't as creepy as the others as it was based in the daylight which lost the creepy factor. The first and second were my favourites. The newer survival horrors are more violent and bloodier than ever, turning from a 15 to an 18 rating.

I've just never really been a horror fan in general, even outside of games. I remember in the earlier ones, the control scheme drove me nuts. I know it has been changed, but I just haven't been interested. It's strange though, because I loved the original Parasite Eve, and that was Horror based too.

I know many disliked the controls on Resident Evil so they didn't bother, but once you're use to it they're great games. Resident Evil 4 on the Wii is cool as where you point is where it shoots. That was way cool. I have 3 versions of Resident Evil 4. First for Gamecube then PS2 and lastly for the Wii. If you got the Wii I recommend Resident Evil 4. RE 4 + 5 have their controls changed with it being a 3rd person view than the older RE games.

Oh yeah that brings back memories. The first Parasite was good, didn't like the second as much but the FMV in the second was nice. Weren't they made by Squaresoft?
